Music
As members of Christ's Body, one of the greatest joys we can know is joining together in the music of praise and worship. Not only does it bring personal blessing, but it also ushers in the presence and unity of the Lord to us as a whole.
At NNUMC, we consider the ministry of music as indispensable to developing an atmosphere of Spirit-filled worship. This applies equally to all ages and to any stage at which an individual may be in his/her spiritual journey.
Our program begins with active musical involvements for children and parents on a weekly basis, then progresses through youth and adult musical ministries.

Make an Evening of It
Dinner's ready for the whole family (including a kid's menu) every Wednesday starting at 4:30 p.m.
Then, parents can choose from various adult activities, while youngsters are off to engaging programs of their own. WISP (Worship in Song and Praise), for grades 2-4, prepares kids to present in morning worship (about once a month) with singing, ringing, or rhythm and drums (Orff style).
It's all here waiting for you, along with your friends!
Children's and youth music groups participate in worship weekly and engage in major musical productions each year. Registration information is available in the church office.

Opportunities for Instrumentalists
ORCHESTRA
An instrumental ensemble accompanies hymns, and presents specials monthly at Sunday morning services. Weekly rehearsals in preparation for worship.
ADULT HAND BELLS
Carillon Ringers
A group for those with previous experience. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings, with periodic presentations in worship.
With One Accord
A core group of staff ringers reaching out to those ready for the next step in bell ringing.
Agape Ringers
Open to those with less experience/expertise in bell ringing. Individual instruction is available for anyone just beginning bells or wishing to learn in an apprentice-type setting. Rehearsal times are arranged to the convenience of young adults.
Any of the above groups (including children and youth) may be combined for special or festive occasions that bring together the Body of Christ in joyous music making to the glory of God.

Adult Choirs
Sanctuary Choir
This choir offers warm Christian fellowship with emphasis on musical excellence and weekly participation in worship September through May. In the summer, Sanctuary Choir gives way to Family Choir, a spontaneous, informal musical experience, requiring less time commitment and musical expertise.
The choir presents at special concerts and seasonal services, and features a wide variety of musical styles and moods.
Regularly scheduled rehearsal times are on Wednesday evenings (child care available upon request). However, alternate rehearsal times can be arranged for young adults with special scheduling needs. Also, recordings of up-coming pieces are available for study at home or in the car. This makes possible full participation in the choir by young adults through our YOUNG ADULTS MAKE MUSIC ("YAMM") program.
Spirit Fill
Includes a variety of vocal ensembles for more accomplished singers wishing a higher level of commitment in musical preparation and presentation. Open to all ages from high school on up. Presents in worship several times per season.
Praise Team
Features up-beat, high energy, contemporary praise and worship style music: open to singers and instrumentalists at varying levels. Presents in 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning worship service.

- Cherub Choir Preschool
- Jubilee Choir Kindergarten - grade 1. Rehearsals are Sunday mornings at 9:30 am, in conjunction with Sunday School.
- Carol Choir Grades 2-4. Rehearsals are Wednesdays in conjunction with WISP.
- Joshua Singers Grades 4-5. Rehearsals are in conjunction with the Youth Program.
- Celebration Youth Choir Middle and Senior High School. Rehearsals are in conjunction with the Youth Program.

- Rhythm and Drums (Orff) Grade 2 and select upper elementary. Rehearsals are Wednesdays in conjunction with WISP.
- Genesis Chimes Grades 3-4. Rehearsals are Wednesdays in conjunction with WISPl.
- Joshua Ringers Grades 4-5. Rehearsals are Wednesdays in conjunction with WISP.
- Wesley Bells Grades 4-5. Rehearsals are Wednesdays in conjunction with the youth program.
